We are running a winter promotion.

If you are booking an RYA level 1 or 2 course you can take advantage of one of our course bundles.

For example a Level 2 can be combined with a VHF / DSC course and a saving can be made on both courses.

Please ask when making an enquiry or tick on all the courses that you are interested in on the enquiry form and we will let you know what the options are and how you can save money.

Instructors Wanted

Boatability is expanding. We are looking for additional qualified instructors to work on a freelance basis to join our busy team. If you are qualified to instruct to RYA Powerboat level 2 or above please contact us with your details.

We have one or two positions available for apprentices too but the competition for these places is high but do get in an application if you are keen to develop a career in the marine industry.

Charters - Powerboat Yacht Charter

Powerboat and Yacht Charter. Skippered or bareboat.

Imagine chartering and cruising the exciting and breathtaking waters of the Solent aboard your very own floating palace. Alternatively go for an exhilerating Rib ride or simply take one of our Dories out for a day's fishing.

Starting the day with breakfast and Bucks fizz on board, taking an enjoyable cruise down through Portsmouth Harbour, taking in the views of our very own Roman Castle at Portchester, then down along side our Royal Naval warships. You will also pass HMS Victory and HMS Warrior which are two of Portsmouth’s landmarks along with the Spinnaker Tower.

Once out into the Solent we will take you past Spitbank Fort which is located near where the Mary Rose was lifted, where the Buoy locating it is still in place. We will then have a leisurely cruise through the Solent, passing Osbourne House where Queen Victoria used to spend her summer vacations.

You will then have the choice on your charter of visiting Yarmouth, The River Beaulieu or Cowes where we will then stop for lunch, either on board where you will be served a buffet with drinks, or a recommended restaurant of our choice, or yours!

Down to the River Medina where we have the popular Folly Inn, which was known many years ago as having a barge moored alongside which was used to store illegal alcohol.

After lunch we can then anchor out of Osbourne Bay for a relaxing drink and canapés, where the brave can take a dip if they choose to do so, or to just sit and enjoy all the excitement of the Solent and all that it offers at a very reasonable and affordable cost.

We can offer Charters on a daily or weekly basis, with fully qualified crew on board, to make sure your day is one to remember always with fond memories.

    Rib Charter is a great way to have an exhilarating day out. Rib Charter works well for birthdays and other parties such as corporate team building days out or stag and hen parties.

    Normally ribs are available only as skippered charters as these boats are extremely powerful and require careful handling by our highly trained skippers.

    Rib charter is often combined with cruiser charter to get the best of both worlds luxury cruising and exhilerating rib rides jumping the waves.

    Luxury cruiser charter is the way to enjoy a relaxing day out. Boatability has a large but always expanding fleet and choice of luxury cruisers for you. Powerboat charter on the larger cruisers is on a skippered charter basis but we may be able to help source you a bareboat charter if that is your choice and ability (subject to qualification and assessment too)


    Boatability can offer you a wide range of water based activities for individuals, families, or even groups of up to over 200. Ideally located within the Solent area, we have ready access to a variety of sea locations, including a number of historic sites!

    A luxury cruiser charter can be combined with an accompanying fast RIB if you wish to add an element of andrenalin rush for the day. Of course you may just prefer sipping champagne whilst sitting on the Fly bridge watching the sunset over the Solent. Smaller powerboat charters are available on our Dories and these can be bareboat subject again to qualifications.

    Whether it's a corporate outing by boat, a hen or stag do, a bit of boat / marine photography, or a sunset cruise in the Solent we will endeavour to meet your requirements. All our maritime packages utilise boats of exceptional capability, all of which are coded to Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) specifications.

    In addition, all boats are helmed by highly experienced and knowledgeable Skippers. This combination ensures both your safety and enjoyment during a thrill-packed day on the water.
